Game on

A visit with Lisa and Luca (and Rich) just before they take off for 6 weeks of language school. Thailand awaits later on in the year. Go Cho's!

Some time at Taronga Zoo. It was good fun, but having seen them 'in the flesh' on African soil kind of trumps it.

I don't know why we keep on taking pictures of Ben in the bath. Sorry little man.

Chill

Just so you know, I'm getting some trouble in putting Ben's photo's from the camera to the computer (I left my disk back in CT). So don't get your knickers in a knot, we'll get there soon.

Bizarre

OK, so Ben is teething. We go and by some teething gel, the kind of stuff you smear on his gums to sooth the pain. No worries. Until you take the lid off.

It smells (and tastes) like liquorice! Just think about that for a moment. This product is designed for babies who have only ever tasted breast milk. No other foodstuff has ever passed their lips. If you were making this product, what would you make it taste like? Maybe . . . nothing, or something kind of milky? Yeah, well not the brilliant minds behind this gel. I mean out of all the tastes we have brought together, all of our experiments in fusion, this is what we come up with? If this is the best we can do with teething gel, it certainly doesn't inspire confidence in something like, say, the UN.

Teeth

It's a milestone, it's a first tooth.

We discovered it on Sunday and you can sure as heck feel it. So our little guy is moving on. Next thing you know he will be asking for the car keys and heading off to college. They grow up so quick. It's kind of hard to get a picture of it right now but below is an artist impression of what you're missing (Warning: the following picture may, in no way, depict any bearing to reality).
